When testosterone levels decrease, sexual dysfunction isn’t the only result.

Hi there,

From as early as 30 years of age the male testosterone levels start to drop by as much as 1% per year. This condition is called Andropause. During this time the male body needs extra attention diet must be improved and lifestyle changes must be made in order to prevent degenerative diseases.

The chemical imbalance can lead to symptoms such as depression, fatigue and muscle weakness. But researchers specializing in male health and sexual function have reported that a combination of two safe natural metabolites - propionyl-L-carnitine and acetyl-L-carnitine - are even more effective than testosterone in treating the depression, fatigue and sexual dysfunction that can be associated with male ageing.

It’s not that testosterone doesn’t work - in fact; the researchers reported that testosterone worked significantly better than a placebo. It’s just that the combination of “carnitines” worked even better. (And since they’re safe and effective alternatives to testosterone, the carnitines offer the perfect solution for men who have had prostate cancer and cannot take testosterone.)

The researchers randomly divided 120 men between the ages of 60 and 74 into three groups. The first group took 160mg of testosterone daily, the second group took 2 grams of propionyl-L-carnitine and 2 grams of acetyl-L-carnitine daily, and the third group took a placebo. Over the next six months, the men were given a variety of standardized tests.

The results showed that the men in both the testosterone group and the carnitines group had significant improvement in depression and fatigue.

Both of these groups also exhibited significant improvement in blood flow velocity in the penis, nocturnal erections, and their International Index of Erectile Function scores.

However, even though testosterone had a significant effect, the carnitines were even more effective than the testosterone in two categories: Improving nocturnal erections and the International Index of Erectile Function score. None of the groups experienced significant side effects.

After six months, when the men stopped taking the testosterone or the carnitines (each man was taking one or the other but not both), the positive effects they had experienced diminished and nearly all measurements reverted to baseline.

The researchers concluded: “Testosterone and, especially, carnitines proved to be active ‘drugs’ for the therapy of symptoms associated with male ageing.”

The verdict is that you can restore your energy, stamina and sexual satisfaction.

Tomorrow we’ll look at some lifestyle changes you can make..

Kind regards

7 Natural Ways to Combat the Debilitating Effects of Stress….

The following natural substances are recommended to help combat the effects of stress.

  1. GABA: Since the amino acid GABA affects our mind, memory, mood and behavior, along with the fact that, stress, trauma and anxiety deplete our supply of GABA it is advisable that you supplement with GABA. GABA has a natural calming effect and helps to cool the brain. Amino deficiencies occur due to prolonged periods of pain, stress, depression or anxiety. When depletion occurs the brain is overwhelmed by anxiety signals, leaving you emotionally on edge. Dosage: 100mg of GABA daily.

  2. Serotonin: Serotonin is a key neuro-transmitter in brain function that enhances focus, elevates mood, reduces anger and aggression and can help reduce cravings for carbohydrates and alcohol. Dosage: Supplement with 5-HTP (Clinical studies have shown that 5-HTP increases the amount and availability of serotonin produced by the body.)

  3. L- Theanine: Take 100 to 400 mg to induce a state of relaxation.

  4. Magnesium: Low magnesium levels are detected in humans with hyperirritability, depression and anxiety. In addition magnesium helps to relax the muscles. It is especially good for your heart.

  5. Brain Food: Take an amino acid complex daily to in order to create the necessary neuro-transmitters your body needs to enhance your brain function.

  6. Anxiety Relief: Anxiety is an unavoidable necessity of life. It is a basic human emotion that helps you take appropriate action in response to an anxiety-provoking situation. Although anxiety can be productive and stimulating, it can also be intense and debilitating. At present, severe anxiety conditions affect more than 28 million Americans. Physical manifestations of anxiety disorders may include insomnia, palpitation, excessive sweating, dry mouth, dizziness, irritable bowel syndrome and headaches. Emotional aspects include irritability, inability to relax, depression, anger, guilt and feelings of emptiness.
  7. Vitamin B6: Vitamin B6 must be taken with amino acids. You may take a complex B vitamin that contains B6.
