In a study done by Dr. Joe Vinson from the University of Scranton in the USA it was found that the consumption of cranberry juice was able to raise HDL (good cholesterol ) levels by 10%. Which results in a decrease of up to 40% in heart disease risk.
The study also found an increase in antioxidant levels in the blood which is strongly associated with lower heart disease risk. Levels of up to 120% were reported.
BUT, that’s right here comes the but….

Avoid cranberry juices that are laced with sugar, try a 100% natural juice else rather go for a supplement. There are so many good alternative available that it really is not necessary to succumb to the sugar trap. If you’re not careful the benefits could be canceled out by the “taste nazi’s” :-).
The way research results have been stacking up we can comfortably say that most dreaded disease risks can be reduced by avoiding sugar and excessive carbs in your diet.
Your health, it is in your hands!
