Baby Boomers In Healthcare Crisis!

Several studies reveal startling facts about how unprepared and the is for their imminent .

According to statistics 60% of adults of ages between 50 and 64 suffer from some form of chronic disease, e.g. high cholesterol, high blood pressure, arthritis, cancer, diabetes and heart disease.

That means folks you have more than a 50% chance of being in the same position.

Add to this that because of better health care they average years that you are expected to live after the 65 retirement age has been increasing which leaves most people with a cash flow dilemma, too much life at the end of your money!

The result is that many senior citizens have inadequate health insurance cover and the over taxed Healthcare System is choking trying to cope with the demand.

Now judging from the efforts in progress to remedy the situation it is clear that it will take many years to remedy if ever!

The only solution seems to somehow make sure that you as a baby boomer retire with adequate finances or you find a suitable supplemental retirement income that will still allow you the simple pleasures of having more time to enjoy yourself, your family and to travel, true?

So baby boomer it is up to you to see to your own Healthcare System, to ensure the retirement that you deserve.

    One other thing that could be considered is to fix your own health up so you don’t have to rely on Medicare.

    Lose weight and get fit - it’s simple. Not easy but simple.

    in your 50’s and 60’s you SHOULDN’t have a chronic disease that needs medication.

    I agree, the best defense is still a healthy lifestyle, eat well and exercise. Also practice effective stress relief!

    Rick, you said it. Stay in shape, eat right and have a positive attitude. Avoid taking medications at all costs. Today there is a pill for everything. Instead of medicating the problem, treat the cause.
    There are networks out there for Baby Boomers and Seniors that focus on reinventing ones self. Retirees are finding it necessary to re-enter the work force to supplement their income. The cost of health care and prescriptions are a big factor for those on a fixed income. Health should always come first.
