Baby Boomers Don’t Go Without This Natural Cancer Fighter.

Published by Frederick Konig under baby boomers

Baby boomers you need to know this! A Natural Cancer Fighter - and More

Resveratrol is a major weapon in the battle against cancer - in both men and women.

Someday, doctors may turn to resveratrol instead of drugs or surgery as a first-line defense and treatment for prostate cancer.

In mice, it’s been shown to reduce prostate cancer risk by as much as 87 percent.

And in those that had already developed prostate cancer, resveratrol slowed tumor growth by up to 49 percent.

For women, resveratrol may prove just as powerful in the fight against breast cancer. Another study on mice found that it slowed tumor growth and killed off cancer cells and the blood vessels they need to grow.

Resveratrol is truly amazing. It acts just like chemotherapy in mice, but naturally and without any of the horrific side effects.

And while it stimulates blood vessel growth to benefit the heart, it kills the blood vessels that feed tumors.

When it comes to preventing cancer and heart disease, it’s your guardian angel.

Plants use resveratrol to protect themselves from the harmful effects of too much sun. It may be able to do the same thing for humans.

Scientists from the University of Wisconsin looked at resveratrol’s effects on skin tumor development in mice caused by harmful UVB rays.

They used it just like a lotion, applying it to the skin twice weekly for 28 weeks. Not only did it prevent skin cancer; it also slowed tumor growth significantly.

Adding icing to the cake, the same study confirmed resveratrol’s power to enhance overall health and vitality: It boosted the immune system, protected the nervous system, and optimized liver, muscle, and fat cell function.

It also prevented diabetes and obesity by lowering insulin resistance, the main cause of Type II diabetes.

Ramp Up Your Physical Strength and Vitality

Resveratrol may also turn out to be what spinach was for Popeye. In one study, it turned mice into Mighty Mice, granting them extraordinary strength and stamina.

Once fed resveratrol, they ramped up their aerobic capacity, lengthened their running time, and burned more oxygen.

Researchers also noticed that resveratrol enhanced their muscles’ ability to turn fuel into energy.

Resveratrol taps into your body’s natural, life-giving force, unleashing vitality, energy, strength, and stamina.

It can literally add years to your life. The problem is how to get enough of it.

Nearly all the experiments I mentioned used quantities of resveratrol well beyond what you’d be able to get from drinking a lot of wine or eating plums all day.

So this is a case where supplements may be a better option. They’re inexpensive and safe. You can find them in health shops or online. Where to buy!

What’s Killing Baby Boomers….

Published by Frederick Konig under baby boomers

Good question! What is killing baby boomers?

I ask this question because there are really only two ways to die, namely accidental or self-inflicted.

Now accidental death is outside of every bodies control and very unfortunate for the unfortunate souls finding themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time, statistically these deaths are also far less likely than what I call self-inflicted death.

Self-inflicted death is by and enlarge your own doing!

So in answer to my question about - ? - I have to say baby boomers are killing themselves.

A while ago I happened to catch Dr Oz on Ophera and they were discussing his 5 steps to longevity, these steps are so simple it is profound - 1. Food, 2. Fitness, 3. Meditate, 4. Sleep and Sex and 5. Vitamins.

These 5 steps are really simple and easy to implement into our daily lives but the problem is it is too easy, most people’s minds cannot conceive of the secret to longevity as being so everyday, mundane, simple call it what you want - fact is it is that simple!

So do not let your ignorance be the reason for your demise - get informed, as a baby boomer you will find all the relevant information you require right here.

Baby Boomers - 8 Health Checks That Can Save Your Life..

Published by Frederick Konig under baby boomers, health

That’s right, as a we are now in the phase of our lives where we become more intimately acquainted with our doctor. It is in fact one of the steps integral towards longevity - having a doctor who knows you, your history and you see on a regular basis.

The 8 are:

    1) Blood Pressure - WHAT Blood pressure is measured using and inflatable cuff! WHY High blood pressure stresses the heart which can lead to heart failure, stroke and kidney damage. ACTION Get annual check ups from your doctor, unless you need more regular monitoring.

    2) Breast Exam and Mammogram (ladies) - WHAT Physical and X-ray examination of the breasts to detect cancer. WHY Breast cancer can be treated and is mostly non-fatal when caught early. ACTION Monthly self-exams, annual gynae breast exam and annual mammogram from age of 40.

    3) Cholesterol and Triglyceride Testing - WHAT A blood sample is taken and analyzed. WHY Cholesterol and triglyceride levels are good indicators of heart disease risk.. ACTION Get annual check ups done by your doctor by means of a proper fasting blood test.

    4) Colonoscopy - WHAT A colonoscope examines your large intestine for possible colon and bowl cancer before symptoms may occur. WHY statistically colon cancer incidents are on the rise due to our inadequate diets. ACTION Get scanned at least once every 5 years.

    5) Heart Health - WHAT General heart check-up, which includes blood pressure and listening for irregularities in the heart. WHY To cancel and lower heart disease risk. ACTION Annual exams from the age of 20.

    6) Mole Screening WHAT Checking for changes to the shape or color of moles or anything unusual regarding your skin. WHY Preventative measures for skin cancer. ACTION Monthly self-examinations and a dermatologist should you notice any changes.

    7) Pap Smear (ladies) - WHAT A sample is taken from the cervix to detect cervical cancer. WHY It is one of the most common cancers amongst women. ACTION Bi-annual check-ups from the age of 20

    8) Prostate (men) - WHAT A rectal exam and a prostate specific antigen (PSA) level check. WHY Prostate cancer is very common in men over 50 and often there are no early symptoms. ACTION An annual rectal exam from the age of 50 unless you fall in a high risk category.
