Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is a condition many men suffer from and but few talk about.
Stressed to the hilt and in the rat race we damage our bodies and health countless times a day.
We are the result of our daily decisions and because of decades of bad habits we lean towards the easy often not so healthy solution as far as our diet and health is concerned.
ED is a result of this lack of good decisions. We find that when we reach the age of 40+ there is a natural slow down in our bodily functions.
Our testosterone levels drop and continues to do so by 10% every decade.
Coupled with the drop in testosterone, poor blood circulation, clogged arteries, severe fatigue, mountainous stress etc. our libido rapidly recedes coupled with the inability to maintain a strong erection, which naturally adds to our stress, catch 22.
Do not despair; there is hope and the chance of a healthy, fit, happy, satisfying life for many years to come.
Viagra and the others stop the breakdown of nitric oxide (which helps your blood vessels dilate). If nitric oxide breaks down slower, blood vessels stay dilated longer.
This allows more blood to flow to the necessary areas. And in turn improves your ability to get and maintain erections.
Since our bodies make nitric oxide from the amino acid L-arginine, you can take L-arginine to raise your levels. And this will benefit the blood vessels all around your body too! L-arginine is very safe, even at the high doses. Take 3 to 6 grams per day or more.
However, if you have cancer or any form of herpes, consult your physician first.
Also new research supports infrared saunas as a way to boost your nitric oxide production.
But erectile dysfunction isn’t just about nitric oxide. There are other equally important factors that come into play.
Patent ED medications don’t address these at all. Things like your declining testosterone levels!
When testosterone levels decrease, sexual dysfunction isn’t the only side effect. You could also experience symptoms like depression, fatigue and muscle weakness.
Researchers specializing in male health have reported that combinations of two safe natural substances (propionyl-L-carnitine and acetyl-L-carnitine) are even more effective than testosterone in treating the depression, fatigue and sexual dysfunction.
It’s not that testosterone itself doesn’t work. In fact, the researchers reported that testosterone worked better than the placebo. It’s just that the combination of “Carnitine” worked even better.
None of the study participants experienced significant side effects. But after six months, when the men stopped taking either the testosterone or the carnitines the positive effects they’d experienced diminished.
