3 Reasons Why Sunscreen Might Be Bad For Your Health!

1) Sunscreen blocks the production of melanin (the pigment causing a protective tan to form), resulting in a higher risk of skin cancer.

2) Sunscreen blocks the production of vitamin D. A deficiency of vitamin D weakens the immune system and increases the risk of heart disease and cancer.

In children especially, vitamin D deficiency is also correlated with tooth decay and crooked teeth.

3) Many of the chemicals found in sunscreens are actually carcinogenic (cancer causing) and oestrogenic.

WARNING - If you see any of the following ingredients, steer clear: benzophenones (dixoybenzone, oxybenzone), PABA and PABA esters (ethyl dihydroxy propyl PAB, glyceryl PABA, p-aminobenzoic acid, padimate-O or octyl dimethyl PABA), cinnamates (cinoxate, ethylhexyl p-methoxycinnamate, octocrylene, octyl methoxycinnamate), salicylates (ethylhexyl salicylate, homosalate, octyl salicylate), Digalloyl trioleate, Menthyl anthranilate and Avobenzone.

It is absolutely vital that you get educated on the basic health of your family, the mighty dollar tends to cloud many businesses sound judgment where it concerns your good health.

Protect your immune system with 15 minutes of direct sunshine daily, else you can supplement.

Unfortunately, making this kind of transition usually doesn’t render our lives anxiety-free.

One of our big post-transition worries is often that people no longer “take us seriously.”

In this article, I talk about how we can transcend this fear by putting our attention on what we’re contributing in our new career rather than how it’s perceived.”

Anti-Inflammatory Drug Blocks Brain Plaques.

Published by Frederick Konig under alzheimer's

I recently came across this highly interesting article on research.

stump.jpg

ScienceDaily (2008-06-25) — An anti-inflammatory drug may help restore brain function in patients with Alzheimer’s disease, according to an animal study in the Journal of Experimental Medicine.

The medical profession is constantly discovering new data that will hopefully, one day lead to a cure for Alzheimer’s.

Until then arming yourself with the knowledge to recognize the symptoms and on how to live preventatively remains our best defense against Alzheimer’s and most other debilitating diseases..

And let’s face it your health is your responsibility. Bad lifestyle choices are your fault, nobody elses.

Are You Procastinating On Fat Farm?

Published by Frederick Konig under weight loss

Too many people don’t get started on big projects, like losing weight, because the task seems insurmountable.

But even if you’ve got a long way to go to completely lose your gut, here’s some incentive for you.

Researchers found that modest weight loss resulted in a preferential loss of visceral adipose tissue (VAT). VAT is the fat that is most often found in those “hard beer bellies” of older men - the fat associated with a risk for heart disease.

As soon as you start a fat-loss program, the first fat to go tends to be that potentially deadly belly fat.

So just by losing a few kilos, you can make a dramatic improvement in your overall health.

To get going on your fat-loss program, reduce the number of calories you eat each day by 10-20% and start doing resistance and interval training.

That equates into eating less junk food like pastries and white bread, replace it with fresh fruit or vegetables, introduce some light walking.

You’ll find that results from little changes can be very motivating and soon it can mount up to some inspiring results.

We so often underestimate the powerful results that a few small health changes can have on our health, bodies and life expectancy.
